Technical Info

TQT is a cross-platform, network information management system that features a high-performance client-server architecture. The TQT Server Platform combines low cost hardware, robust Windows 2000 operating system, the unique ACI 4D Application Embeddable Database Server, ISI's Enterframe Intelligent Object Server, and the TQT Application.

Network Specifications

Although TQT does not require significant network bandwidth:

  • A Gigabit switch to support your main network is recommended, and
  • All of your servers should directly connect to the main Gigabit switch

TQT Server

System configuration below is based upon 75-150 orders per day entered into workflow. Operations processing more orders may choose faster processors and larger hard drives.

  • Dedicated Windows XP Professional Workstation (Windows "Server" OS is not required)
  • 3.0E GHz Pentium IV, 800 FSB, 1M Cache w/ HT (or faster), with the best CPU cooler available
  • 1024 MB RAM (or more)
  • Hard Disk 1 - 80GB 7,200 RPM ATA 100 EIDE w/8Mb Buffer (All partitions, if any, formatted with NTFS)
  • Hard Disk 2 - 40GB 10,000 RPM SATA w/8Mb Buffer (All partitions, if any, formatted with NTFS)
  • 10/100 Ethernet Card
  • CD ROM
  • 1.44M Floppy Drive
  • UPS Power Supply
  • Keyboard, Mouse
  • Top of the line power supply
  • As many cooling fans as possible
  • Timbuktu Pro Remote Control software


Client Access

There are two types of TQT Client Platforms with different levels of functionality.

Integral Clients run on either Macintosh or Windows machines and require 4D Client and a 4D Write licenses. The integral client users are involved in sales, administration, accounting, management, reporting, strategic decisions (e.g. pricing, inventory management, order entry).

Web Clients require only a web browser application and therefore run on any machine that can run Internet Explorer, Netscape, or any modern web browser (Windows, Macintosh, UNIX, etc.). Web clients users access TQT using a web browser, to follow production schedules, track individual processes, access web based reports, etc.

Integral Clients on Macintosh

  • PowerPC (G3) +
  • 15" SVGA Monitor (preferably XGA 1024X768)
  • 256 MB RAM
  • Mac OS X or higher
  • 10/100 Connection to network

Integral Clients on Windows
  • Pentium 900 MHz +
  • 15" SVGA Monitor (preferably XGA 1024X768)
  • 256 MB RAM
  • Windows NT, 2000, XP or higher
  • Video/Motherboard NT HCL Certified
  • 10/100 Connection to network
