Montreal, Quebec (November 8, 2005) - iSystems, developer of TQT Business Management Software and ISA hosted a Professional Development seminar, "Making Your Sign Company Lean to Gain a Competitive Advantage" presented by Jim McKechnie. Mr. McKechnie has over 40 years of manufacturing experience including being the General Manager of a sign manufacturing operation in Southern California.

Attendees were quickly introduced to the principles and culture of lean manufacturing. The fast-paced workshop included discussion topics regarding the vital importance of inventory, space planning, company organizational structure, creating/developing your company's value stream and hands-on experiential exercises. Practical, real-world applications and success stories were provided to the group. Mr. McKechnie shared an example relating to the company he led - it grew from $7.5 million in revenue to $14 million with staffing going from 75 employees to 78 employees during the same time period based on applying Lean Manufacturing principles.
